May Day!

Ok, how can I resist?  One of my favorite days of the year...a childhood holiday.  I still have that urge to leave flowers for random people.  Sigh.  Don't think that will ever go away for me.

Today was my day of rest.

Ever go so fast for so long, that one day, it all catches up to you?  The past 2 weeks have been amazing but quite the whirlwind.  Two weeks ago, we flew to Ohio to watch my beautiful happy-go-lucky cousin, Kelly, get married.  We were out in the Appalachian mountains, hiking, running and star gazing.  It was so breathtakingly beautiful.  We stayed in a quaint little cabin in the forest.  It was so nice, but so short.

We had to fly back since I had to be back at work.  Big day with the CMI Evac.  After a 3 day work week, I was back on vacation again.  This time I went to Big Sur, California with the same girls who ran with me in Bisbee.  Our trip could have not gone smoother.  We had such a blast.  It was the most beautiful run I have ever experienced.  For the first time in my life, I am considering running a full marathon...but it would have to be in Big Sur.  With that gorgeous eye candy, I could run for miles!

Another 3 day week of work, but for some reason, it was the most stressful.  We are short handed and it has been a rough ride.  But the week has come to an end, and we are planning to go up to Dallas tomorrow for the Warrior Dash. I cant believe I am saying this, but I think I am ready to go back to a solid routine again.

So first in line, is my friggin' diet.  I am ready to do another 10 day Master Cleanse.  I need to detox and get rid of the cravings.  Then I need to eat more a vegetarian based diet.  Honestly, I think that this is one of the biggest reasons why I am so tired.  My diet has really gone downhill the past 2 weeks.  Fast food, and heavy meals--the unfortunate side effect of  life of on the road and being off of a normal routine.  I am working out 6 times a week, but the weight loss has plateaued.  I am ready for a jump start.  Spiritually and physically.  I will be ready to begin after a day of debauchery at the Warrior Dash.  Monday morning will be a clean slate.
